Liquid Lipstick’s ultra-saturated liquid formula delivers an intense amount of matte pigment in a single swipe. This is what the Sephora website has to say about these liquid lipsticks: In terms of formula, both are very pigmented and opaque. Kathryn (flat applicator) and Sugar Plum (doe-foot applicator) Has ABH switched its production to China? That worries me a bit I feel a little sketched out using Kathryn due to where it’s made, considering I try not to use any makeup made in China, let alone something that goes on my lips. Kathryn has the new design, yet it’s made in China while Sugar Plum, the old version, was made in the USA. HOWEVER, let’s think about this for a second. I can personally see why they changed the applicator, as it’s much easier to get a crisp line on the edge of lip line with the flat applicator. Doing some research on this, I found out that the flat applicator is the new design. I also noticed that the applicator is different for both lipsticks – Kathryn has a flat applicator, while Sugar Plum has a traditional doe-foot applicator. Top to Bottom ABH Kathryn and Sugar Plum From left to right: ABH Sugar Plum and Kathryn I take this to mean the People’s Republic of China, and I wasn’t able to find anything else online that contradicts this idea – more on this later. Sugar Plum was made in the USA, and the packaging of Kathryn says that it’s “made in PRC”. Interestingly enough, I noticed that the design on the tubes were a little different – Sugar Plum has the ABH logo on both the tube and the top of the lid, but Kathryn doesn’t have the logo on either. The ABH liquid lipsticks have a gold trim at the top of the tube and a silver cap. Read on to see how I got along with these!įirst off, let’s talk about the packaging, which looks like a typical liquid lipstick. I wanted to try one brighter shade and a more neutral shade, so I settled on a magenta called Sugar Plum (I called this Dusty Rose in the haul post) and a brownish shade called Kathryn. However, at $16 each, it was hard to pass up trying the formula to see if it would work well on me. There are a million reviews of this liquid lipstick line, but I wanted to share my thoughts as a dry skin, dry-lipped gal who has always steered clear away from liquid lipsticks. Last month, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks were part of Sephora’s Week of Wow sales, and I took the opportunity to try two shades in this formula.
